What's My Name Again?

Because I sure can't remember it... I thought the last course was intense, but this one takes the biscuit. Ha!
I had no picture of biscuits, so here are some paleo balls from mamma instead
Key take-away from week one? It all starts in the core. We've analysed postures and practiced various core exercises, making me realise just how fundamental core strength will be to staying injury free. I kid myself into thinking I'm strong, but many of the exercises showed me that I should really hold off on some of the heavy lifting before I've corrected my posture. Oh CrossFit, how I miss you...

My new love interest, check out his lats...
Anyhow, add in a few more anatomy lessons, our first practice PT lesson, a sprint session and a Friday afternoon 3 k run for time and you've got a happy, but insanely tired lady. I want my bed!

Meet and Greet Outside of Gothenburg!

Whoop, so by some lovely coincidence, I've made friends with a friend of a friend who wants me to come to a "meet and greet" lifestyle event at her place outside of Gothenburg on Sunday.

And following on from that, I'll be hosting a paleo/ low carb introduction talk sometime in October. How exciting!

So if you're in or around Gothenburg this Sunday (it's in Kullavik) and want to have a chat about paleo/ low carb living and other lifestyle subjects, drop me a line on c_paulsson@hotmail.com. I will post more info about the October talk soon.

Vengeance of the Dairy Fairy

Oh man, I never learn, do I? A week and a bit of cheating with dairy and I am paying for it big time. I'm supposed to be studying like a madwoman these last few days before I start my PT course in Gothenburg but all I can do is stupidly stare at my left and right labeled hiking socks whilst breathing through my mouth. Gah!

Am surprised I managed to put them on correctly
The last time I got a cold was when I left London. Similar scenario: Cecilia stays with friends and starts abusing their Nespresso machine, drinking quadruple espressos with cream, because who can be bothered to make egg latte in someone else's kitchen? Top that off with some cheese omelette and cheese platters at the local winery and some of that organic ice cream down the road and the Dairy Fairy gets her fearsome fairy sprinkles a-ready. A few sneezes from a fellow tube passenger and they start working their magic and BOOM, Cecilia gets a cold. Awesome.

The worst part, however, was the extra turbocharged PMS pain that never fails to impress! Instead of spending Sunday morning brunch with London family and friends, I was a blubbering incoherent pile of excruciating pain, covered in a cold sweat.

2-0 to the Dairy Fairy.
